Default Icemaker bearing and cup assembly
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: GD5SHA
Age: 1 - 4 years

Somehow, (love that part) the part in front that I believe is suppose to be underneath the bearing and cup assembley has come out. I can put it in for all but the right hand side. I dont want to pull on the Cup assembley for fear of breaking it.

Is there magic to putting this back in?

If the part that came out is the piece that lifts the ice out of the mold then it should fit in to the bearing.

Here is a link to your fridge model GD5SHA.

Look at the ice maker breakdown.
