Default Icemaker-arm won't go all the way down
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: Profile
Age: 1 - 4 years

GE Profile refrigerator icemaker. Will make a load of ice, then arm rotates up and down like it should except that arm stops just before coming all the way down. So must manually lower the arm so it makes another load of ice. How do I adjust/fix this so it does not require manual lowering every time? Thanks.

Can you please provide the model number of your fridge?

It should be on a tag on the inside of the fridge section with the serial number.

Check the spring on the shut off arm to make sure that it is in place.

Here is a link to your fridge model TBX22PRBSRAA.

Here is the spring.

How do I check it? Do I need to take it apart? Thanks.

You may have to take the front cover off to see if the spring is hooked in the right spot.
