Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: ED25TWXDW01
Age: More than 10 years

what is the easiest way to check the water solenoid, and what tells the solenoid to open? The water supply is good. I,m not getting any ice. the freezer temp is good and the icemaker motor is working. I'm new at this, any help wood be GREAT!

The easiest way to test the water solenoid is with an ohm meter.

The contacts in the ice maker tell the solenoid when to open.

The freezer temperature has to be 5 degrees or below.
