Question Icemaker
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 106.52552100
Age: 5 - 10 years

The icemaker will not stop making ice so I have to keep dumping the ice. I covered up the electronic eye thinking that would stop it but didn't work. How can I fix this problem. thank you,

my ice maker stopped making ice. When I take the cover off the wheel moves. I have moved the arm to the off position for a day to allow the unit to recycle with no results. The water feed tube that runs into the ice maker is full of ice? Any ideas? Thanks for your help!

Joe Sowell said his icemaker quit making ice, mine will not quit making ice. It is electronic and I guess that is where my problem is. Can anyone help me fix this??.

I have a kenmore coldspot 52552100 and the ice maker stoped working.
I replaced the pcb board (emitter & receiver) and the blinking lights say it's ok.
When first installed it spun the fingers that push the ice but then no water came out the fill tube and into the ice-tray. I tried heating that area up thinking maybe it was frozen and that didn't work. I tried to drop the temperature down and that didn't work either. I still get water out the front of the fridge from the water dispensor but not for the ice dispensor. I'm thinking that maybe the water solenoid valve for the ice dispensor is bad. Where is this solenoid located on the freezer and can I test it with regular voltage?

Please guys, don't pile on questions with an entirely different question!! It has been a long day and I am getting brain dead and confused.
