Default Icemaker
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: 218720300
Age: 5 - 10 years

The icemaker inlet tubing on my Frigidaire refrigerator pulls loose when the water pump comes on. Could I need a new pump? I'm thinking my inlet line gets frozen up and the pump exerts too much back pressure?

That could happen if the inlet valve is leaking. It will freeze at the fill tube. Take the line off at the inlet valve and watch it to see if it's leaking. Refrigerator Repair Guide: How to Check the Water Inlet Valve - ACME HOW TO.com
