Default Ice not droping into the icebox
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: FRT21IL5DB3
Age: 1 - 4 years

We have never used the icemaker in this fridge before. My husband installed the water line and added a filter there. The ice maker makes ice cubs but they do not fall into the box. Any idea what we shoud do? The cubes are dark but this is due to the carbon flter and I am pretty sure once water flows thru the filter for a while it will be fine. Am I right?

Thank you!

Make sure that the wire arm on the ice maker is down all the way.

You are right about the filter the water will clear after a couple of cycles.

Here is a link to your fridge model FRT21IL5DB3.

Hi,
the arm is always down all the way but the ice cubes still do not fall

Any other suggestions?

Ava

You may have a faulty heater or thermostat.

The drive motor may be bad or one of the switches.

These will have to be checked with a meter.
