Default Ice maker won't refill
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: frs22zrfw2
Age: 5 - 10 years

Ice maker won't fill. I have replaced the ice maker, but still won't refill. I can manually make it fill by turning the wheel on the ice maker, but when I let it cycle thru it doesn't work. I have had all the valves off and taken apart, they look clean. Everything works when I cycle manually but when it sits and it goes thru the cycle by itself no water.

Was it the whole ice maker that you replace?

Is the freezer is 9 degrees Fahrenheit or below?

Make sure that the shut off arm is down all the way.

Here is a link to your fridge model frs22zrfw2.

I just checked the voltage to the solenoid for the ice maker. It was about 100-11o I switched the plugs around for the water dispenser and the ice maker and I can make water come out of the tube for the ice makerby using the button on the door. voltage for the water dispenser is 125. I think I have a bad connection some where.

Any ideas on where I could be getting a bad connection to the solenoid that fires the valve for the ice maker valve. I am only getting 104 volts at that point. It's not enough juice to make it open.

Oh also I had a repairman come to the house and he wasn't able to fix it. He even put on another icemaker (IM1) He wasn't that familar with Frigidaire. He told me to talk the Frigidaire people in our town. They will be here on Monday. I sure would like to fix it myself but I don't want to make it worse.
