Default Ice maker won't dump ice
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 1069552851
Age: More than 10 years

Hello,

I have a Kenmore side by side with ice maker that is approx. 11 yrs. old. All at once, the ice maker quit making ice. I should say that it is making ice, just not dumping ice into the bin. The water dispenser works fine, the auger brings ice (bagged) down the chute ok. I can feel ice in the tray, but just sits there. I did get it to dump once, after messing around with it, but just the one time. There's no ice build up and I should add that I had water dripping out of the ice bin a couple of times, like it tried to refill it while it had ice in it. The freezer is working fine, keeping everything else froze. I searched other threads, but found nothing that gives insight to my problem. Any ideas? Thanks, Mike

Here is a link on how to test your ice maker.

Do this test and if the ice maker passes the test it is either in the wiring harness or the control board.
