THis refrigerator came with my mobile home. The ice maker is in a GE GSS-20IEPJ refrigerator. It is side by side with ice and water dispensing through the door.

About 2 months ago the ice would no longer dispense through the door. The ice maker still produces ice and the water still comes through the door but I can not get cubed ice or crushed ice.

My children said they would fix it for my birthday but I have to purchase the parts. I do not know what to purchase as I am not sure what parts are broken. I feel I do not need a complete ice maker.

It is completely separate from the ice maker. You have an ice bin with a metal augur which is turned by a motor behind the bin. Does the motor turn. Does the augur turn. You have a selector switch which engages to give crushed ice and disengages to give cube ice. Watch the operation with the door open holding the door switch down.
