Question Ice maker water overfills intermittantly
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: FRSZ6R2AWE
Age: 1 - 4 years

I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH ICE CLUMPING UP LIKE A BRICK. I AM CERTAIN THAT IT IS OVER FILLING, BUT NOT EVERY TIME IT FILLS. I AM SURE MY WATER PRESSURE IS FINE. MY OLD FRIDGE WORKED GREAT. WE USE A LOT OF ICE SO LONG OFF CYCLES IS NOT AN ISSUE. COULD THE TIMER THAT ENERGIZES THE SOLENOID BE DEFECTIVE?
PLEASE HELP

Default

There is a screw in the ice maker to adjust the water fill time but if is not overflowing ever time it is more likely the valve is sticking.

Here is a link to your fridge model FRS26R2AWE.

Here is the valve assembly.
