Cool Ice Maker Water Inlet Has Ice Build-up
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 106.50022001
Age: 5 - 10 years

We noticed an ice build-up in the freezer back wall. With a closer look at the ice maker system I noticed that the water inlet to the cube tray was filled with ice. When the ice maker runs it cycle, the water just runs over the ice build up and runs down the freezer back. I suspect the water inlet valve-solenoid is leaking, but just guessing. Please advise. Thanks

Replace water solenoid in the back before it floods your house.

I have the same problem. I have a Kenmore, model # is 25353614300, and I looked up the part you were referring to, but I can't find where on the back the water solenoid is located. Is it located on the back of the refrigerator or inside? Can you help me out? Thanks.

Default Water Valve

arod724,
You can find the water valve on the back of the refer. behind the cardboard sheet.
Just follow the water line going to the valve.
