Help!

our ice maker stopped making ice - it stopped last week, and I removed the water filter, looked at it, shook it out some, replaced it. It made ice for a week, the water dispenser has always worked fine.

This week it stop making ice again. I got a new filter for $38, but the ice maker still didn't work. The fridge is about 2 yrs old. I checked the water lines, and didn't see anything wrong. I poured some water in the ice former, and it froze, some water in the ice container froze too.
I can't tell if water is flowing into the ice former or not, I have not seen it fill... but I never did when it was working either.

I removed the back, bottom cardboard, but didn't see anything wrong there. The fridge has not been moved... didn't expect any kinked lines.

Any help would greatly be appriciated.

Make sure the freezer is below 5 degrees.

After pouring the water into the mold did the ice dispense.

Check the water valve at the back of the fridge.

Make sure the solenoid for the ice dispenser is working.

Check it with an ohm meter.

After I poured water into the ice forming tray, no ice was ever ejected.

Ice did form in the bottom of the "ice catcher container" around the screw mechanism that pushes ice out. I removed the container and cleared all ice.

I unpluged the fridge for about 5 minutes, and lifted the wire control that
turns off the ice maker when the ice container is full, and left it up all night,
and put it back down this morning. Still no ice.

I will look at the url link that you sent, Maybe it will show where to check the ohms.

I poured more water into the ice forming tray, and removed any ice still in the ice storage compartment. I have been waiting for the ice to eject. some water I spilled quickly turned to ice, but no ice was ever ejected from the tray.

At first I assumed that water was not getting to the ice maker, but now I think it's just that formed ice is not being ejected. Is there someway to tell what the problem is? and what part needs replacing?
