Question Ice maker trouble
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: ET21DKXDW04
Age: More than 10 years

My in-freezer icemaker has stopped working. There is water going into the unit, and when I pour water in manually the water freezes, the gears turn, and I get ice. It just doesn't seem that water is getting through the switch box inside the bottom of the fridge and up to the freezer. This happened after I emptied the tray and left the fridge for a week. When I got back....no more ice!

Do you have suggestions or a part that would provide a fix?

Thanks.

p.s. my current Ice Maker is Model ECKMF94, part # 2155469A

Default

Check the water valve at the back of the fridge with an ohm meter for continuity.

If the valve is faulty replace with water inlet valve part number ps330022.

If the valve checks OK you will have to check the ice maker.

Here is a link on how to test the ice maker.
