Lightbulb Ice maker (trays are getting old)
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: ?
Age: More than 10 years

Long story... background - I have an ice maker on line it tells me it is a whirlpool modular in my GE Frig? Here's the thing it has never worked since day one when I purchased years ago (more then 10). It would fill up sort of with water never enough to produce cubes if memory is correct. It hit me out of the blue today maybe my water line was never connected right as I used one that was left by prevoius owners of my house. So today I hooked up a new water line. I heard the water fill the line as I turned it on and no leaks and a short time later it looks as if 10 years ago when I put in the water line it was OK.

I pulled the front of the ice maker off to see several holes label with letters. V, L, T, H, M, N. Is there something I can do with these? Volt test if so what kind of reading am I looking for ohms, volts or what and what kind of numbers? Is there some sort of reset button I can hit? Should I let it sit awhile and see if it decides to start working now that there is water coming back to it? As you can tell I am looking for suggestions short of just go buy a new one. Since I never got ice out of this one I am still calling this one new.

Thanks

Make sure the arm on the ice make is down in the on position.

Your freezer must be at least 5 degrees to make ice.

Here is a link on how to test your ice maker.
