Default Ice maker totally stopped
Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: gc5shexnboo
Age: 1 - 4 years

My ice maker does not have water getting to it nor does the mechanism or any thing seem to be moving. I recently replaced the water filter as that may have been clogged and not allowing flow to the ice maker. Water flows from the water dispenser quite well. Thank you in advance for your help.

Unhappy

I too just replaced the filter and now I am not getting any ice. Water dispenser works just fine. Got one batch of ice today and that was it. Heard water running and went into the kitchen to find water pouring from the icemaker all over the floor and inside the freezer. Lifted the arm on the icemaker and got the water to stop pouring out but the ice maker does not work now. Does not appear that the gear is turning. Do I need to replace the control module or the motor or what? This refrigerator is not even 2 years old yet. Is this the normal life of the ice maker?

Default whirlpool ice maker

i replaced the control module and was wondering if the maker has to be
cycled to certain position for it to function properly.
