Default Ice maker stopped filling
Brand: Hotpoint
Model Number: hss251fmbc
Age: 5 - 10 years

I have a hotpoint side by side refrige that I have had issues with. I have had issues with ice dispenser and freezer not defrosting causing fridge and freezer to warm up. I found the main circuit board faulty. I replaced and had no issues for a few months.
Now My ice maker is no longer filling up and I am at loss of what else to do. Anyone have any ideas? How does the water pump on back of fridge get signal to fill ice maker?

Has anyone ran across something like this? I am close to ordering an ice maker but I am tired of throwing money at it.

I have more to add -- I have a 2 way valve -- one for water and one for ice maker. It is mounted back side of fridge -- I performed a voltage test on both connectors -- The water valve has 16 volts when switch is off and 118 volts when switch for water is activated -- my ice maker valve always has 118 volts. I moved connector from water valve to ice maker valve and activated it. Water then flowed to ice maker. Water will not fill ice maker when it is connected properly. Any ideas for me? so far on my fridge I have replaced the circuit board for the ice/water dispensor -- and the main circuit board. Please someone help. I need my ice. ha.
