Default Ice maker spews water all over the kitchen!
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: FRS23R4AW9
Age: 1 - 4 years

I replaced the solonoid for the water in the door and the ice maker. Now when I turn on the ice maker, the water spews out the water dispenser all over the kitchen. What next?

Either swap the electrical connections or the water lines on the two water inlet valves. See if that helps.

Thanks, woodchuck. We swapped the elecrical connections and the hoses and find no improvement. We have water in the door, but no water in the ice maker. We might need to buy a new ice maker. Thanks anyway for the advice. I thought it would really work.

If you swapped the electrical connections and the water lines then you are right back where you started.

Swap one OR the other and see what happens.

When you look at the icemaker the arms that push the ice out, should be at 9oclock. If the arms are inside of the icemaker, then you need to replace the icemaker. What you need to check is the inlet tube in the freezer, that puts the water in the icemaker, and see if it is frozen. Also while your there make sure it is in place. It seems like there has been a ton of advise here. Even I am confused, after 30 years in the business. Make sure everything is back the way it should be. If you see the arms are at 9 o'clock, grab them and pull up on the arms, resonably hard, and you will be able to start the icemaker, and watch it to see what it does. If you need me, I can be reached at my web site at T. PAONE's APPLIANCE SALES & SERVICE GUIDE Tom
