Default Ice maker repair
Brand: Jenn-Air
Model Number: JCD2389GES
Age: 5 - 10 years

I am currently in the process of replacing the ice enclosure (PS108314) for the ice maker. The only problem I am having is trying to remove the ice dispenser engagement yoke (PS108314) so i can fit it through the hole in the new ice enclosure. Is there some kind of trick to removing the yoke? Thank you, Dennis.

The yoke is screwed to the motor.

It could be left hand thread depending on the rotation of the auger.

We are having the same problem as Dennis.
How does one immobilize the shaft so that you can unscrew the left hand threaded yoke? David
