Default Ice Maker Problems and Kick Plate
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 253.44352400
Age: Less than 1 year

I purchased this frig from a Sears Outlet (scratch & dent). Ever since I brought it home, the ice maker runs very slow. Often the ice cubes rest on top of the "turnstyle", without falling into the bucket. I have to physically pull the ice into the bucket so it will continue to produce ice. Only on about three occasions has the ice bin been filled completely. Is it broken? Do I need to turn down the freezer? Is this what I should expect from purchasing a "scratch & dent"model?

Also, this unit needs a bottom-front kick plate. I see there are several available. Which one should I purchase?

Thank you for your reply,

Default

The temperature of the freezer must be 5 degrees or below.

The part number for your kick plate is PS1526091.

Here is a link to the parts of your fridge model 253.44352400.
