Default Ice maker problem
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: GSH25JFT
Age: 1 - 4 years

GE side by side. The ice maker water fill cup, part# 945431 was hanging on the back wall of the freezer. I think I re-situated it but what is happening is there is not enough water being dispensed and am getting very small cubes. I'm not sure I put it in correctly. Can anyone send me a picture/drawing as to how this goes in please. Thanks for your help. By the way, this fridge, was a replacement from GE on the moisture class action suit from last year. I got this unit from GE on 11/06 after my previous fridge had sixteen service calls and could not be fixed.

Part 269 and 270 look like the fill tube on your ice maker. GSH25JFT Parts List Click on the diagram to enlarge. Make sure the tube emptys into the ice mold or into a channel which does. If the tube is pushed in too far it might restrict the water flow also.

What else was done to the ice maker or water supply. Why did it need repositioned.

Thanks for the reference Woodchuck. I think what happened is that the ice bin was shaken and it dislodged the fill cup from the ice mold and the water was going everywhere but where it should of. I was able to reposition in it's correct spot(i think). So far it seems to be working ok for now.
