Not a DIY-er, but need to learn sometime! The entire mechanism seems to be working perfectly, except no water fills the tray. I tried raising and lowering the arm to try to reset. The fingers seem to rotate properly. There's no crimp in the tubing behind the fridge, and nothing has changed about its connectivity.

If you manually add water will it fill with water after it freezes and harvest.

If you have an in the door water dispenser , swap the water lines on your water inlet valve or if they are not the same size swap the wires and push the water dispenser switch and ice maker should fill with water. If not, the tube could be stopped up or problem with ice maker.

Thanks, Woodchuck! And since my limited knowledge is already evident, where do I manually fill it, and how do I know when it's full (other than water spilling over the edge)? I appreciate and await your reply . . .

Try half a cup. Pour it directly into the ice tray. It will spread to all the other cubes.
