i'm not getting water to my ice maker but I am getting water to my water dispenser in the door.what are the chances of it being the water valve or the thermostat,or both?i'm at a loss.thanks,rick

First thing I would like you to check is the water tube coming into the icemaker. If it is frozen, no water will come in. If so defrost it with a blow dryer. If that is not it. Fill thew icemaker with water yourself, make sure you do not puit to much water in it. If it makes the ice, then replace the water valve. If it does not make ice replace the icemaker.
