The wire "arm" is stuck in the middle or either the ice maker has lost power and that's where the arm was when the unit lost power. The wire arm is the wire that stops the ice maker from making ice. Also, the ice maker is empty of water. The water dispenser in the door works fine and the filter I assume is okay. I tried to force the wire arm down but was afraid that I would break it.

I wanted to disconnect the water supply line into the ice maker in the rear of the fridge but was unsure how to disconnect it.

The model number is located in the fridge section on a tag with the serial number.
