Default Ice maker Not Working
Brand: KitchenAid
Model Number: KSC525INSS00
Age: 1 - 4 years

A few days ago my icemaker in my Kitchen Aid side by side (Superba) stopped working. I assumed it forze up. I removed the ice maker module, removed the ice and waited for the 'clink' of ice to once again grace my kitchen. After more than 24 hours I checked and there was not ice. There was not even ice waiting to be ejected. For some reason water was not being dispensed into the ice maker tray. I did some more research and found I might have to reset the unit by unplugging it for 30 seconds or so. I did this and what do you know, I had water in my ice tray. Well, that water is now ice but it is not ejecting. I am back to where I started.

So now I am thinking I need to buy a new ice maker module. I went to the kitchenaid website and entered my fridge model number only to find they don't have it. Hmmm..... I was planning on finding the part number from there. Anyways, thoughts?

Can you please check your model number?

There may be one or more characters that have an error.

KSCS25INSS00

I mistook the forst "S" for a "5"in my post. All my other searches though have been under the correct model #. When I look online the model # that seems to work is KSCS25IN

Here is a link on how to test your ice maker.

Here is a link to your fridge model KSCS25INSS00.

Your ice maker is number 20 and the module is number 37 on the ice maker breakdown.

Try going to google.

Type in ice maker repair.

This will bring you to the site.

The parts that you will need is an electrical part.

Electrical parts can't be returned.

Default Well, here's my thinking

I don't think I have the expertise to replace just the motor. So I am willing to replace the entire module because it is an easy fix. It will cost me less than a repair man coming out too. What I don't know is if the one in the link I posted above (ICE MAKER MODULE)is the correct one for my fridge model. I have the KSCS25INSS00. If it is the correct one then I will just order from your site. I have to admit though that I feel I am missing something here. I really do appreciate you taking the time for all my questions.
