Default Ice Maker Not Working
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 106.56673500
Age: 1 - 4 years

I had a problem with my fridge where my ice maker stopped working. I took out the ice maker and noticed that the module had a broken clip in the middle, which apparantly means that the module is bad.

I ordered a new module but I can't get the ice maker to start working again. I tried jumpering T and H but it didn't start. What do I need to do to get the ice maker started up again after installing the new module? Any help would be appreciated.

I always fill the ice mold with water and it usually fills by itself after it freezes and dumps the ice.

You may want to make sure the bail arm switch on the icemaker is set to the on position as well. The icemaker is the same for IDI and for Non-In Door Ice so there is potential that the bail arm switch may be in the off position. If you have an IDI there is a tan looking round notch on the side of the module facing your ice maker mold. The notch will have an oval shape in it. Use a key and make sure that the bail arm is rotated counter clockwise. If it is in the correct place you should be able to rotate it slightly clockwise and it will spring load itself back to the counter clockwise position.
