I just noticed that my wife had turned off the ice maker. Now it has been off for 3 weeks. When I turned it on, it won't make ice. Any help before I replace the whole unit?

My usual fix has to do with the incoming water pipe above the bin freezes up. I take a hairdryer to it for a few minutes and the ice plug melts. Though I've also had to replace the water inlet valve in the lower left of the frig. It's an easy fix.

I took out the icemaker and found the rotating arm to be frozen in ice. I revmoved all the ice and reinstalled it - it seemed to work. Now, hours later, the arms are again frozen in ice. Could it be out of sync somehow?? Thank you!
