Default Ice maker not getting water
Brand: KitchenAid
Model Number: ksrs25fgal04
Age: 5 - 10 years

Replaced ice maker already, water line to ice maker has no water in it from valve, line is open all the way to ice maker, however water dispenser works fine. Ice maker cycles through but isnt getting water. Ohm meter across terminals on ice maker water valve shows continuous circuit. I tried putting arm on ice maker up and then back down in effort to reset. No luck.

Turn off the saddle valve on the water supply line to the icemaker valve and disconnect the water line (either copper or clear plastic). Then open the saddle valve slowly (over a buclet) to see if water is getting to the supply line. Most often, the self-piercing needle rusts and clogs preventing water from entering the water line. If clogged, turn off the main water supply to the house and replace the saddle valve. I always use non self-piercing valves. If the saddle valve is ok, then the problem is either the ice maker valve or a clogged water line from the valve to the ice maker (rear of refrigerator). Good luck!
