Swap the water lines or wire connectors at the water inlet valve on back of unit. Then press dispenser switch and water should come out ice maker. If it doesn't it's probably frozen at the top at the ice maker. Inlet valve may have a slow leak causing it to freeze. If it does come out there is problem with ice maker.
Woodchuck, you cannot replace the water lines because they are two different sizes. Good idea though. 98ultra, do you have a meter? If the water tube is not frozen up, as it comes into the icemaker, in reality, without a meter it is a toss up between the water valve, and the icemaker. If you have a meter, you can check the icemaker side of the water valve for continuity, if you get it replace the icemaker, if not replace the water valve. I can be reached at ApplianceEducator.com Tom
The lines are the same size at the back, changed them, pushed the water dispenser and water filled the ice maker.
I do have a meter, what might i be looking for?
Thanks for the info.
What that told you is the water line is clear. That leaves the valve, and the icemaker, and without an ohm meter I would be guessing. If you have a ohm meter, you need to check the valve for continuity. If not it is the ice maker.
