Question Ice Maker Leaking
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: MFD2561HES
Age: 1 - 4 years

New to this forum, wouldn't be here except for the problem.....of course. Anyway, we've had this fridge for a little over a year, long enough to be out of warranty. The ice maker continually lets water drip down from the front end of the maker when it fills, causing a puddle that forms around a bunch of ice cubes in the tray. I've looked as best as I can and can see something that looks like a covering coming off of the cube form tray at the end where it leaks. Would that be my problem? Not sure I can get just the cube form, so it's probably the whole unit to be replaced. Any thoughts? Or, has anyone had the same trouble? How did it get fixed??

You will have to remove the ice maker and see what is coming off.

Is your fridge level?

Here is a link to your fridge model MFD2561HES.

Default Ice Maker Leaking

The fridge is pretty close to level, nothing I would worry about, it's been in the same position for over a year and have not had this problem. When you remove the assembly, where is the water hook up on the ice maker?? Do I need to worry about that, I'll have the water turned off, of course.
