Our ice maker just stopped working today. It's currently just making a pinging noice. I was replacing a faucet today and had to shut all the water off. When I was done replacing the faucet, I turned all the water back on. I noticed that the ice maker was making noice as if something was stuck. Nothing was stuck and I made sure that the water was flowing correctly by moving the fridge and checking the hose back there. Nothing sould be wrong seeing that I did not do anything to the fridge.

Funny, when I open the door to the freezer, the noice stops. I've also left the door open, turned off the light manually and the noice came back. Not sure what is going on. Everything was working fine up until the faucet was replaced. Any advice would be greatly appreicated.

I just unplugged the icemaker from the inside for several hours. I plugged it back in and within about an hour, the ice was back. I guess it just needed to be reset.
