Default Ice Maker Issue - Water in Freezer - HELP PLEASE
Brand: KitchenAid
Model Number: KSRS25IHSS00
Age: 5 - 10 years

Good Morning,

I have a KitchenAid Side By Side, Model KSRS25IHSS00 with a Style-2 Icemaker that dumps into the Ice Storage unit on the door. I found ice sickles in my freezer due to the water leaking. I turned OFF the icemaker using the control on the just inside the right freezer door frame. That didn’t stop the water from leaking and leaking water into my freezer. I turned off the water to the Fridge. Please help me fix this issue? I am tired of buying bags of ice at the store.

I have removed the icemaker from the fridge, and have noticed the coating on the ice maker is cracking and peeling (see image attached).

I think you in advance!

Replace the water valve. If the water valve solonoid is weak, it will let water in when it is not asked. If you need me you can reach me at my web site at ApplianceEducator.com Tom
