Default Ice maker getting too much water
Brand: KitchenAid
Model Number: ECKMF64
Age: More than 10 years

I have a kitchen aid ice maker that has worked fine for 13 years. It now fills up with too much water and floods the ice maker and puts about 1/4" of water in the ice cube tray below. Because so much water goes in, the ice cubes are stuck together on the top and it hard for it to dump. Everything appears to be fine other than too much water.

Is there a way to adjust the water flow? I have a single valve outlet similar to AH358631 Single Outlet Valve Kit sold here.

If the valve is not adustable, would you buy the valve kit for $32 or it could be something else and buy the whole icemake replacement for around $100.

Thanks for your help.

Dump all the water out of the icemake mold. Go to the back and apply 115volts to the water solenoid coil for 9 seconds (use cheater cord)
If mold fills up and no overflow, you might have a jamming icemaker.
