Default Ice Maker Freeze Up
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: TBXW25F
Age: More than 10 years

Strange problem here. The 1/2" plastic tube that connects to the fill line and passes from the back of the fridge into the ice maker freezes up. It develops a ice plug at the end and when it goes through the fill cycle will be pushed off the connection that goes through the back and water will go down the back wall and on the floor.
The downward angle seems proper and it extends into the fill tray. I'm stumped.
Any thoughts? Thanks

Take the water line off at the water inlet valve and see if you have a slow leak. If it keeps dripping it can freeze when it gets to the end of the tube in the freezer.

Well, I disconnected the tube from the back and let it sit for 24 hours. It does not appear to be dripping. Now I did raise the sensor bar to shut off the ice making process so it wouldn't keep calling for water. I'm guessing if the valve leaked by, it would do it regardless.
Any other thoughts?
