Question Ice maker fill cycle
Brand: Amana
Model Number: SXD2252W
Age: 5 - 10 years

Water overfills the ice making tray and freezes in the holding bin. I understand that the cycle is timed. The valve is not leaking after the fill. Is it possible for the pressure to be to high causing the excess h2o? Any ideas?

If the water pressure is between 25 and 100 psi you should be find.

Over that and you may have trouble.

The valve may be sticking.

The fill time should be about 6 seconds.

Question ice maker fill cycle #2

Thanks for the reply. I did replace the fill valve. The issue still exist. The cycle last for 12 seconds instead of nine. Is this all anyone can do short of a complete change out?
