The ice maker works just fine but the door that allows the ice to fall into the container will not open. I put a new solenoid and door kit on. It seems as though there is no current getting to the solenoid as it will not shut to open the door for the ice to release.
Probably didn't explain to good but if you understand what I am talking about, what could be the problem.

Make sure it's wired correctly. The current could be holding it open etc. The door switch and so the door has to be closed before it will work. Does the door switch make the light go out. Double check the installation work you did.
