Default Ice Maker does not make ice, water works
Brand: Admiral
Model Number: HMG 64143
Age: More than 10 years

I received my replacement Ice Maker yesterday and installed it last evening. There is no ice in the bin this morning. There is no water in the icemaker but drinking water dispenser does work, but it did work before.

What makes the icemaker cycle and how can I tell if it is cycling?

It is likely the water valve at the back of the fridge.

There are two solenoid one is for the water dispenser the other is for the ice maker.

Can you please verify your model number?

It should be on a tag with the serial in the fridge section or behind the kick plate.

Default Model / serial number

I finally found the tag, it was on the roof inside the refigerator side. The tag says it is a Montgomery Ward model HMG641430 and the serial number is 13162708XZ.

Can you tell me how old this refrigerator is because as far as I knew, Wards has been out of business maybe 20 years?

The tag on the side of the door has the information I posted before.

I can't seem to find any information on the Montgomery Ward brand.

As far as I can see Montgomery Ward is still in business.

I'm not sure who made there fridges for them but here is a number for them 1-800-227-7598.
