A few months ago our ice maker stopped making ice. This happened while we were away from the house for a few days. When i noticed that the ice maker was not working I looked at the unit and noticed that the trough that the inlet pours into before the tray was frozen solid. I thawed out the freezer and water line but when I turn on the ice maker the water dispenses for less than a second then turns off. This will happen repeatedly if I turn it on and off.

Now that I have turned the freezer back on for a while the water will not dispense at all.

Any ideas?

It sound like there may be a problem with the mother board that is located at the back of the fridge.

There is a test sheet that is locate in an envelope under the fridge.
