Default Ice Maker Dispenser not working
Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 10652562100
Age: 5 - 10 years

I have a Kenmore Refrigerator and the ice dispenser has stopped working. It stil makes ice and the door that releases the ice opens and closes but the motor to release the ice or crush the ice then release does not start. I have purchased a new motor and put in in place and the new motor does not work either. Any help on what else it could be?

It could be one of the switch that has failed or it could be a problem in the board.

You will need an ohm meter to check the switches.

If you do and checking on the board make sure that you use the wiring diagram.

Read the notes on the diagram because the board for the dispense converts the AC voltage to DC voltage.

The wiring diagram should be in an envelope stuck to the bottom of the fridge behind the kick plate.

Here is a link to the parts of your fridge model 10652562100.

This may be a very simple answer. The refrigerator does not have screws behind the gasket to get into the door. Do I enter this through the front and if so any suggestions so I do not break a piece entering it?
