Unhappy Ice Maker chute door not shutting completely
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: GSS25VGMA WW
Age: 1 - 4 years
The chute door to the icemaker will not shut completely. It stays open about 1/3 of an inch, causing frost to build up and ice will not fall through the door.

Part 36 on this diagram is the solenoid which operates the door. Watch to see if it's working completely. The spring (part 63) could be broken or loose. Just look around good to see what's stopping it. GSS25VGMA Parts List
