I replaced my ice maker and it still won't work. Is there anything else I can do before calling the repair tech?

Ice maker does not produce ice. Water despenser works. I installed a new ice maker and it still doesn't work.

You have ice in the ice maker but it won't dump or water will not fill ice tray to start the cycle. Try manually adding the water and when it freezes see if it dumps and starts another cycle.

swim140, Check the water tube that brings the water into the icemaker. It could be frozen up, if so get the blow dryer out, and defrost it. If not you could have a bad water valve. One side goes to the disp, and the other side goes to the icemaker. If you need me you can reach me at my website at ApplianceEducator.com
