There should be a locking tab that will release the wiring harness.

Can you please supply me with your model number?

Unhappy Amana ice maker

I was able to find a release tab to unplug the ice maker. Then I received an email from Shelia. When I went to the parts dealer and bought a replacement I was unaware that an ice maker will not operate unless the temperature is 5 degrees F. The new icemaker also does not make ice and it is not returnable. This knowledge would have saved me approximately $100.

Did you ever get the answer to "How do I unplug the ice maker unit from the wiring harness?"
I cannot unplug the wires in the back of the icemaker to remove it.
My Amana refrigerator's model is SSD21SW.
