Question Ice maker
Brand: KitchenAid
Model Number: KSRS25IKSS01
Age: 1 - 4 years

Ice Maker was making ice and overflowing the basket. I replaced the optical sensor boards and it worked good for about 2 weeks then quit making ice all together..... I have tested the water solenoid and the water line going to the Ice maker both work fine..... What tells the water valve to turn on?? Are there any tests that can be made on the optical sensor to verify they are working?? Thanks
