Default Ice machine noise
Brand: KitchenAid
Model Number: KUIS185FWH1
Age: 5 - 10 years

A High pitched noise is coming from the inside of the machine - the top, not down by the motor. Our water tank went dry, the house got over 100° and I am thinking maybe the circulation pump is going out, either coincidentally or because of the above abuse. Could this be or what else do you think? Other than the noise, the machine is working just fine.

It could be the pump.

Try shutting the unit waiting about twenty minutes and starting it back up.

Here is a link to your ice maker model KUIS185FWH1.
