Ice Dispenser Problem I see that this is an old thread but I am having a very similar, almost exactly the same, problem. I'm an electrician by trade so I can check anything for voltage or resistance as needed. However I would need an actual wiring diagram instead of the parts list, so I know which wires to check for what. When I attempt to dispence ice (crushed or cube) the door light dims, the dispensing door barely opens(not nearly far enough to alow flow of ice), and the auger does not function. It does dispense water with no problems though, and the light does not dim for the water. So far I have found that if you disconnect the solenoid (the one that opens the door to dispence ice into your cup) the auger will then function. I tried replacing the solenoid but it made no change. So I disconnected the door light and it will then open the dispensing door all the way but it still will not engage the auger if the solenoid is still connected. It does the same thing with the old solenoid too. I am currently thinking it would be the front control/display, but I was hoping for some input before I order it. It does seem to be the focal point for the problem. Is there any kind of power supply located elsewhere that I should check? Or am I correct with the display/control? |
