How do I get the panel off to see and test switch for both ice dispenser and water. Ice bin droped ice and I heard water fill-up tray, are both switches tied together? No ice or water upon request must be switch. Thanks for your help.

Being as the ice cube maker froze, you may have a frozen line to the water dispenser too. You could try defrosting the refrigerator by shuting it off for a day with doors open as it might be frozen in door. PL

thanks but I am not getting water at the outlet side of the valve so it is a problem in the switch at the dispenser. I am just uncertain how it comes apart and what could be broken.

That switch is inside the door. In order to get at it you will have to remove inside panel and work from there. No easy task. Usually the screws to remove panel are under door seal. Good Luck PL

Assuming yours is a side by side refrigerator ,there is a coil of water tubing or water reservoir in the fridge behind the crisper drawers where the water is chilled while it sets in the fridge. Maybe it takes a while for the cold water to get all the way to the dispenser in the freezer door. Unless your water tubing has been changed some way.
