My ice cubes are not freezing all the way. replaced the icemaker with a new one on fridgidaire side by side. i can feel the water is full in the tray, and if I stop the eject cycle, the cubes will freeze all the way and are fine. But they are getting ejected too soon and they are just the hollow shell, the rest of the water in the cubes is stuck and frozen in the bottom of the ice holder, eventually freezing up the auger. Is there an adjustment to slow down the cycle???? Old unit was working fine and making correct cubes, the shutoff arm was just bad on it. So I believe that the freezer is cold enough.

You can not adjust the time on the ice making cycle it is set in the timer motor and gears.

Check the temperature of the freezer it must be below 5 degrees.

The freezer is at 18 degrees. It was at that temp when the old (freezing OK, just not shutting off when full) icemaker was in it though. Do you think that the cycle is faster in the new icemaker?

It just need to be in normal cycle first. Timer is same, but temp got lower for some reason (working on parts, door left on early, power cycle, etc.) Becase of the low temp when it cycles first time it will not freeze right, and that will keep the cycle off. When I had problem, I did everything and still had same problem. But once the temp stay low for while, it started to crank out nice cubes. One way to keep freezer cold is put couple of water jugs and have it freeze up. Make sure tray is clean from any ice chunks. Shut off the ice machine for couple days. Then restart. This seemed to help in my case.
