Default ICE Cube Size
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: WR30X10061
Age: Less than 1 year

Guys,

I have installed a new ice maker into my fridge. This is not the original IM but was the correct replacement according to the local parts guy. It fits and works, but the ice cubes are too big. They come out 2,3 or 4 cubes frozen together, connected at the tips. This causes the ice dispenser to constantly get jammed. I have taken it out and checked it over and do not see anyway to adjust the ice cube size. The older units had a screw inside the cover that lets you adjust the size. This one does not, at least as far as I can tell.

Can anyone help me with this problem?

Thanks
Tom

Can you please supply the model number of your fridge?

The complete model number should be on a tag with the serial number on the wall of the fridge section or freezer section.

If the ice maker is not like the original you may have to replace the fill valve at the back of the fridge if there is no adjustment on the ice maker.

Here is a link to your fridge model TFX22ZR.

To get a detailed parts list for your fridge you will need the last three letters.
