Ice cube flap wont close/seal

Default Ice cube flap wont close/seal
Brand: Please select
Model Number: GE-GSS25JFMBWW
Age: 5 - 10 years

Hi all,my ice cube flap on my freezer door sticks and now wont seal properly,I assume it needs to be replaced. I cant see how the front panel comes off so I can acsess the screws that hold it in place. Can someone help me Thanks

Most of them will come off if you gently pry up on them going round and round.

It could be the solenoid or a spring come loose.

I started to pry from the edges/sides,but I didn't want to break the front cover,so you are saying their is also a selinoid that works in conjunction with the spring?BTW both springs look intact

Part 36 on this diagram and parts list is the solenoid. GE GSS25JFMBWW Parts List
