the flap for the ice despenser will not close tight. this allow air to get into the freezer and form frost at the opening to the chute.
what is the best way to fix this?

It could be that the spring has become weak or something is broken.

thanks for the infor regarding the spring. i found the skematic at the website you suggested.
i do not see a spring on my refrig ice discharge chut.
i'm i missing something?
