Default Ice Build Up Ice Dispenser
Brand: KitchenAid
Model Number: KSCCS25FKss#1
Age: 5 - 10 years

There is ice build up starting at the ice chute going up into the ice bin. It looks like the door on the dispense isn't closing completely. It looks like the ice dispenser has come loose from it's holder. There is a screw I want to loosen to see if I can get the ice dispenser back into place, but it's in a really awkward position. Does the front panel on the front of the fridge pop off or is it screwed into place from behind? Or is there a special phillips I need to buy that can reach that awkward screw? Thanks for your help. I'm bookmarking this site for future use.

Remove the dispenser cover on most by gently prying going round and round a little at a time to prevent from breaking it. When it's off the screws will be exposed to access the other components.

Thank you! I'll give that a try.

I put a composit shim up under the bottom, then took a really small crowbar and just popped out the front panel. There there is a little electrical panel underneath that, which unscrews easily. I was able to tape that up instead of unplugging it. Then I was able to loosen the screw that held the bracket in place and put it all back the way it should be. Works like a champ. Thanks Woodchuck and Paul!
